Leanne Dwyer '13 studied abroad in ParisLeanne Dwyer '13 studied abroad in Paris for the 2011-2012 academic year and loved every minute of it! During the Spring 2012 semester, she interned in the English Language Department of CNAM (Conservatoire National des arts et metiers), where she taught basic and business English to students of all ages in addition to researching E.S.L. websites, conducting mock job interviews, correcting resumes and holding informal group conversations in English. Teaching English gave her the opportunity to practice her translation skills and to observe language learning from the other side of the table, since she was the native speaker rather than the student. However, what she really enjoyed about her internship was interacting with so many people from countries all over the world, including Russia, Germany, Algeria, and Senegal.
