Elzbieta (Ela) Lepkowska-White, professor of management and business, together with Amy Parsons and William Berg
’18, received the 2020 Emerald Literati Award for Excellence for the article “Social
Media Marketing Management: An Application to Small Restaurants in the US” published
in the International Journal of Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality Research, Vol. 13,
No. 3, pp. 321-345.
Andrew M. Lindner, associate professor of sociology, published a book chapter, "Why the NBA Shut Down
First: How Partisan Polarization Informs Sports and Public Health," with Daniel N.
Hawkins (University of Nebraska Omaha) in , edited by Jörg Krieger, April Henning, Paul Dimeo and Lindsay Parks Pieper.
Josh Ness, associate professor of biology, published an article exploring the roles of geography, trade and tourism in shaping distributions of exotic species among Caribbean islands and nation-states. Titled “Plant Pirates of the Caribbean: Is Cuba sheltered by its revolutionary economy?” the work is co-authored with colleagues from NY-6 and Cuba and published in the journal Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment.
