Tyler Morse and Willie Kearse of the Parole Preparation Projection, an organization that supports currently and formerly incarcerated New Yorkers through advocacy, litigation, and community care, will have a conversation on elections and felon voting rights. The conversation will be introduced by College Librarian Marta Brunner, who is teaching a Bridge Experience course this semester titled LI 201 Overdue Notice: Libraries and Social Justice. 'Lyd in Exile' documentary screening and Q-and-A with directors

Members of the ΞΆΓάΘ¦ community are invited to screen "Lyd," a feature-length, sci-fi documentary that shares multiple pasts, presents, and futures of the city of Lyd in Palestine/Israel. During the film, the viewer is guided through the lifespan of a five-thousand-year-old city and its residents from the perspective of the city herself. There will be a Q-and-A with Directors Rami Younis, a Palestinian filmmaker, writer, journalist, and activist from Lyd, and Sarah Ema Friedland, New York City-based media artist and educator, moderated by Associate Professor of Environmental Studeies and Sciences Nurcan Atalan-Helicke following the screening.
