Commencement Celebration FAQs
The program will feature remarks from Ȧ President Marc C. Conner, the Class
of 2020 Senior Class President Jinan Al-Busaidi and an honorary degree conferral to
Dr. Tricia Hellman Gibbs and Dr. Richard Gibbs. Members of the Class will be offered
the opportunity to walk across the stage and be greeted by President Conner. An event
program will be available to all attendees, including the schedule of speakers and
a listing of all graduates from the Class of 2020.There will be an opportunity for
photos with President Conner after the celebration concludes. Commencement regalia
will be available for use during the photos if desired.The composition of the ceremony
was developed based on the feedback we received from the survey that was sent to members
of the Class of 2020 in June of 2021.
Yes, attendees may register a guest (partner/spouse/significant other) to attend all
Class of 2020 activities with them. Class members registering should be sure to use
the "guest" designation for their partner/spouse/significant other).
Yes, while most of the activities scheduled are for the Class of 2020, there are several
family friendly events, which are noted on the schedule of events. Class members who
wish to bring family to these family friendly events, should use the "family" designation
when registering.
Your cruise will begin boarding at 5:30 p.m. and will cruise from 6-8 p.m. Buses from
campus to Lake George will depart from Case Center at 4:45 p.m. If you prefer to drive
on your own, please plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before your departure. Buses will
return to campus immediately following your disembarking the boat.
Members of the Class and their guests (partner/spouse/significant other) will be housed
on campus. Family members are responsible for securing their own accommodations.

The Celebration program in Zankel on Saturday at 2 PM will available to virtual participants
via livestream.
Yes, the College will provide all linens and towels. You will not need to bring these
items to campus. Beds will be made prior to your arrival and towels will be in your
assigned room. You may prefer, however, to bring with you a larger towel and pillow
if you are able.
Members of the Class of 2020 are invited to “come as they wish” to the Celebration
event at Zankel on Saturday, 6/4. If you have a cap and gown and would like to wear
it during the Celebration you are welcome to do so. For members of the class who do
not have a cap and gown, we are happy to offer a two opportunities to be photographed
in gowns that the College is providing. We will have a photobooth at your Class BBQ
on Saturday and we will have a Ȧ back drop set up in the lobby of Zankel where
you can take pictures with your families and President Conner. We will provide various
sizes of gowns for use during both of the photo opportunities.
After your registration closes on May 15th, we will begin the process of assigning
housing. You will be informed of your housing assignment upon arrival.
