Conferences & Events Web FAQs

Summer Guests

The Information Desk, found on the second floor of ΢Ȧ’s Case Center is the main check-in point for most summer programs. Please reach out to your program coordinator for specifics as this may change based on each individual program.
If you arrive after the desk has closed, please go to Campus Safety and they will give you access to your room. To get guest information and other registration materials, please return to the Information Desk the next morning, or at your earliest convenience.
There are several reasons why an ID card may not be functioning. Please ensure that you are swiping the ID card through the door lock in the correct orientation required. Also check to make sure the magnetic stripe on the back of the ID card does not look broken or damaged. If ID card issues persist, please visit the Information Desk during hours of operation for immediate assistance. After hours, please contact Campus Safety.
Money can be put on ΢Ȧ ID Cards via cash using the machine located outside of the Spa in Case Center and near the interior entrance to the Dining Hall in the Atrium Cafe. If you would like to use a credit card, money can be put on IDs using the following link. All money left on ID cards upon departure adding up to $10 or more is eligible for a refund. Go to Card Office.

External Conferences and Events

We welcome conferences all year-round. However, please note that space can be limited during the academic year as the priority is given to students, faculty and staff. Conferences seeking to utilize residence halls and/or apartments are limited to the summer months.
Yes. We host many outside organizations conferences and events. Please contact the Office of Conferences and Events with any questions or inquiries at conferences-events@skidmore.edu.
No. ΢Ȧ requires our Dining Services team to provide all catering for on-campus events. If you have any special requests or dietary restrictions, reach out to your Event Coordinator.
If your organization is tax-exempt, please submit your tax-exempt certificate to your Event Coordinator for approval. Quoted fees reflect pricing for not-for-profit organizations.
In order to secure a conference or event with ΢Ȧ College, we require a signed contract, proof of insurance, and a deposit.

΢Ȧ College uses EMS to book all event spaces. To reserve a space, EMS can be accessed via the ΢Ȧ College website or by using this . To see what spaces are available you must sign into EMS and search by space and date. If you do not see a specific space in EMS that you are looking for, please contact the Scheduling Office at schedule@skidmore.edu.

Please e-mail the Scheduling Office at schedule@skidmore.edu with your full name, ΢Ȧ e-mail address, and the assigned group you would like to be added to EMS. If you are not associated with a group or club on campus, you can search for the group “_student”.
You will receive an e-mail notification when your request has been approved. You can also check your “My Events” in EMS to check the status of your request if you have not yet received an e-mail confirmation.
There are no costs associated with booking spaces for college business by ΢Ȧ faculty, staff or students. Catering, meal tickets and linens do have costs associated. For personal events, employees receive a 50% discount on room rental fees, but require a contract and insurance. Please contact the Scheduling Office with any questions.
All event details, including table and chairs, can be coordinated in EMS. The Scheduling Office website offers many useful resources to assist with scheduling spaces on campus. 

   

Surrey

Standard check-in time is 3 p.m. and standard check-out time is 11 a.m. Exceptions may be made based on availability
Your confidential key code will be emailed to you 48 hours before your check-in date. If you do not receive your key code, please email surrey@skidmore.edu.
Yes, there is a 20% discount for alumni, parents of ΢Ȧ students, faculty, staff, and retirees when booking a room for personal use. When making your reservation, please indicate your affiliation and the discount will be applied when your reservation is confirmed. Taxes are still applicable.
Each guest room offers body towels, hand towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash (products from ). Additionally, there is a hairdryer, iron and portable steamer in each guest room.
Guestrooms 1 through 9 have Queen Sized beds and are located on the second floor of the inn. There are no rooms with two beds, though some rooms have the option to add a cot for an additional guest. Cots are available for $25 per night.
No, but we can assist with luggage. There is one guest room on the first floor with a twin bed for guests unable to use the stairs.
We offer complimentary grab-and-go breakfast items in the common room on the 2nd floor for your convenience.
